Savor the Moment

Book: Savor the Moment  (Bride Quartet #3)
Author: Nora Roberts

Summary: Wedding baker Laurel McBane is surrounded by romance working at Vows wedding planning company with her best friends Parker, Emma, and Mac. But she's too low-key to appreciate all the luxuries that their clients seem to long for. What she does appreciate is a strong, intelligent man, a man just like Parker's older brother Delaney, on whom she's had a mega-crush since childhood.

But some infatuations last longer than others, and Laurel is convinced that the Ivy League lawyer is still out of her reach. Plus, Del is too protective of Laurel to ever cross the line with her-or so she thinks. When Laurel's quicksilver moods get the better of her-leading to an angry, hot, all-together mind-blowing kiss with Del—she'll have to quiet the doubts in her mind to turn a moment of passion into forever...

Review:YES Nora Roberts YES! I love love love this story and the love and tension between Laurel and Del is amazeballs! I love how Laurel acts and puts herself out there even though she 100% knows it could blow up in her face. I think the main reason I love this book is because of the tension and how they work through it! This is one of my favorite Nora Roberts books (trust me that is hard for me to pick) It has so many amazing things that make this amazing and I love the writing and the amazing plot line! This is why Nora is so amazing she does an awesome job of creating a beautiful love story with an interesting and well thought out plot line! I love me some Nora Roberts and I love reading what she cooks up!

Bed of Roses

Book: Bed of Roses (Bride Quartet #2)
Author: Nora Roberts

Summary: Wedding florist Emma Grant gets to play with flowers every day and work with her three best friends in the process. She couldn’t ask for a better job. And her love life seems to be thriving. Though men swarm around her, she still hasn’t found Mr. Right. And the last place she’s looking is right under her nose.

But that’s just where Jack Cooke is. He’s so close to the women of Vows that he’s practically family. Now though, the architect has begun to admit to himself that his feelings for Emma have developed into much more than friendship. And when Emma returns his passion—kiss for blistering kiss, they must trust in their history—and in their hearts…

Review: As a lover of wedding planning, I love the details in the story and the amount of research that Nora does to write each book. I mean the amount of tiny details is what makes the stories have that extra special umpf. Jack and Emma are the cutest people ever! I love their email flirting - so stinking cute and made my heart warm.
I also think that the thing I love about this story is how realistic it is in the sense that I could see someone telling me that this was their love story. The problems Jack and Emma go through are situations that every day people go through. This includes the sticky situation of keeping your things at the others place, dealing with being friends first and in a big friend group, meeting family members etc. I think the reason I loved this book so much was because of how Nora handled these situations. They were not perfect, but neither were they off the rails crazy. My only “complaint” was when Emma got mad at Jack after cooking him dinner and how he reacts. Here’s my thing I just thought it was little over the top and so I felt like this situation took away from the story line. However this did not take away from the overall story and plotline and this was another great story and amazing addition to the series.

Rock Chick

Book: Rock Chicks (Rocks Chicks #1)
Author: Kristen Ashley

Summary: Indy Savage, cop's daughter, rock chick and used bookstore owner, has been in love with Lee Nightingale, once bad boy, now the man behind Nightingale Investigations, since she was five years old. No matter what ingenious schemes Indy used to capture his attention, Lee never showed an interest and Indy finally gave up. Now Indy's employee, Rosie, has lost a bag of diamonds and bad guys are shooting at him. When Indy gets involved, Lee is forced to help. Complicting matters, Lee has decided he's interested, Indy's decided she's not. But she can't seem to keep Lee out of her life when she's repeatedly stun gunned, kidnapped and there are car bombs exploding (not to mention she's finding dead bodies).

Indy's best bet is to solve the mystery of the diamonds before Lee. Lee's challenge is to keep Indy alive and, at the same time, win back her heart.

Review: Have you ever had a book/series that completely changed your life? For me it’s this book and series! I LOVE LOVE LOVE Kristen Ashley and this freaking amazing and kick ass series! Kristen Ashley takes the “typical” heroine and shakes her up and makes her real or more like who I wish I was!!! I love the tensions between Indy and Lee and honestly I was just as hot and bothered as they were and I loved how it turned out! I could literally write for days and days about how amazing this book is and how everyone should read it, rather I’m just going to say this once. READ THIS BOOK! It’s that amazing, I literally have read it so many times and each time it still is amazing and gets better and better! The amazing tension, the hilarious banter, the drama and plot line makes it that what it is! Kristen Ashley has this unique style of writing and story telling and it is definitely super amazing!

Drakon's Promise

Book: Drakon’s Promise (Blood of the Drakon #1)
Author: N.J. Walters

Summary: Darius Varkas is a drakon. He's neither human nor dragon.

He's both.

He's also the target of an ancient order who want to capture all drakons for their blood. When fresh, a drakon's blood can cure any illness and prolong a human's life, and the Knights will stop at nothing to get it.

When librarian Sarah Anderson stumbles across a rare book belonging to the Knights of the Dragon, she's quickly thrust into a dangerous world of secrets and shifters and things she never would have believed possible. When the Knights realize Sarah has a secret of her own, she becomes just as much a target as Darius. Her scary dragon shifter just might be her best chance at survival.

Review: This is an awesome new take on Dragon’s and is something I haven’t read before! I not only love Dragons and their abilities but also that Sarah in this story has her own “abilities” so that adds another edge to the story! There was a lot of thought out plot line points in this book and I love how it played out in the story and I can’t wait how it will overall play out in the series. The relationship with Darius and Sarah played out so well and I like how it wasn’t boom snap in 10 seconds and they are in love, but that there is some deeper feelings playing out as well! I liked how the relationship played out between them and for me and this story line it was the perfect pace. My only real “complaint” is that there isn’t any way to bind Darius and Sarah, I mean other than drinking his blood to grow old with him. There should be some way to bind them together so that she could grow as old with him for life! Other than that small minor detail (and who knows maybe something will come about in another story) I loved this first book in a new series and hopefully the next books are just as amazing as this one!

Book: Levitate
Author:  Kaylee Ryan

Summary: Trust. Five Letters. One Word.

I'm the girl who doesn't let anyone in. My world was shattered and turned upside down in one night. Since then I've been trying to live, if that's what you call it, but fighting the anxiety of what happened and trusting others is hard. Each day is a struggle to reach for the unknown.

Truth. Five Letters. One Word.

I watched my father give my mother the world and the stars. She took everything from him, then left him as a broken man with nothing to live for. I told myself I'd never fall in love. I'm guarding my heart and emotions, only looking out for number one. The only way to have truth in any relationship is to stay true to yourself.

Just when you think you've got it all figured out, you realize your puzzle is unfinished. You find a piece you never thought you needed until everything changes with one touch.

After levitate.

Review: I love Kaylee Ryan and her stories are so fun and super cute! I love Maxton and how he behaves toward Kensington. His over the top Alpha behavior is adorable and how he protects and takes care of her *Swoon*. I also Love Kensi and how she has had to overcome so much pain and grief and in the story you can feel her emotions when her past comes up. Like most other Kaylee Ryan stories *Spoiler* the main characters get pregnant, but it definitely adds to the story and it seems to really grow their relationship! I also love the secondary characters and how you get a little glimpse at their love story too! My only “complaint” is the beginning of the book when Max hooks up with another girl in his truck - I didn’t like it and I understand that this is who he used to be, but I could definitely done without it!! Overall great story and a book that I love to reread!

Better When He's Brave

Book: Better When He’s Brave (The Point #3)
Author: Jay Crownover

Summary:Titus King sees the world in black and white. Right and wrong. Which is why as a teenager he left behind the only family he’d ever known to make a better life for himself. Now a police detective in one of the worst cities in the country, he can’t deny his life has turned into a million different shades of gray.
The new criminal element in The Point has brought vengeance and destruction right to Titus’s front door, and the difference between right and wrong is nothing compared to keeping those he loves alive. To add to his already strained moral compass, the beautiful and mysterious Reeve Black has made her way back to town, and she might be as dangerous to Titus as the guy trying to destroy the Point because he needs her—in more ways than one.
Reeve knows all about how ruthless this new threat to destroy The Point can be… and instead of running away, she wants to help. She has a lot to repent for and saving the city, plus the hot cop that she hasn’t been able to forget might just be the only way she can finally find some inner peace.
With an entire city poised on the brink of war, Titus and Reeve stand in the crossfire—and it will take two brave souls to fight for the ultimate love.

Review: I love this book!!! Like the plotline and story is totally on point, the descriptions, and writing is amazing, but honestly what makes this story is the characters and the amazing job Jay does in bringing them to life. Reeve is totally not who I expected her to be, especially when we met her in the first book of this series and even in the beginning of this book, but later when you learn more about her and why she does what she does you can’t help but like her and respect her. Then there is Titus a cop trying to do what’s right and live in a black and white world but he grew up in a gray world and still has friends and family living in that world. The emotion behind him and why he does/acts the way he does is what made his character work so well. Plus the tension between Reeve and Titus ……. I could feel the sexual tension between them for so long so when they actually acted on this tension it was ten times hotter because of that! I also find it super funny and perfect for the Point that the hot cop is in a relationship with a strip club manager -  only in the Point!

Better When He's Bold

Book: Better When He’s Bold (The Point #2)
Author: Jay Crownover

Summary:There’s a difference between a bad boy and a boy who is bad. . . . Welcome to the Point.
In a dark and broken kingdom, a ruler has be fearless to control the streets and the ruthless people who run them. Race Hartman is just bold enough, just smart enough, and just lost enough to wear the crown. Places like The Point will always have bad things and bad people, but the man in control of all that badness can minimize the devastation. Race has a plan, but can he prevent total annihilation without destroying himself?
Brysen Carter has always seen the real Race—a guy too pretty, too smooth, and way too dangerous. Basking in his golden glow is very tempting, but Brysen knows she’ll eventually get burned. She has enough problems without the risky danger and mayhem that comes with a guy like Race. Too bad Brysen faces a threat close to home that might be more dangerous than anything The Point has ever produced.. And the only person interested in keeping her safe is the one man she can’t allow herself to have.
Sometimes being bold is the only way to stay alive. But can she let Race save her life . . . if it means losing herself to him?

Review: I think what I love the most about Jay Crownover's books is that the “hero” of the story is never what you expect them to be and are they nowhere close to being a “typical” male role they are the BAD bad boys. I like how different they are and that makes the feel of the story so different from an others that I have read. I also like how she deals with situations in her stories, like poverty, stealing, sex trafficking, gambling and so much more when a lot of other authors would stay as far away from these situations as possible but Jay adds them and is realistic about what's going on and makes them a true part of the story. I also think that not only are the characters strong in this story but so is the general plot line and it sucks you in and makes you want to be in the world with these people. They feel so real and like they are your best friend or in some cases worst enemy. I love that the story is so different but at the core the idea of falling in love, having a family and living life is still relevant. I think that if people gave this book and series they would love it as much as I do!

Vision in White

Book: Vision in White (Bride Quartet #1)
Author: Nora Roberts

Summary: Wedding photographer Mackensie "Mac" Elliot is most at home behind the camera, but her focus is shattered moments before an important wedding rehearsal when she bumps into the bride-to-be's encounter that has them both seeing stars.

A stable, safe English teacher, Carter Maguire is definitely not Mac's type. But a casual fling might be just what she needs to take her mind off bridezillas. Of course, casual flings can turn into something more when you least expect it. And Mac will have to turn to her three best friends—and business partners—to see her way to her own happy ending.

Review: Who hasn’t played wedding day as a kid or planned out their dream wedding? I mean hardly any girls and so this book series is like a dream come true and made me want to find 3 friends to create my own wedding company!! First off I love all Nora Roberts books so I’m not going to lie that all of them usually get 5 stars rating from me and this one does too! I love love love Carter - I need to find someone like this in real life. I mean who doesn’t love a quirky, clumsy, super loveable Professor. When he totally blurted out to Mac that he had a crush on her in high school my heart melted and he became my number one “Book Boyfriend”. It was also very interesting to see Mac as the one unwilling to completely commit and has a hard time even being in a relationship. I think so often we always assume it's the man, when in reality it could be anyone, especially those that grew up watching rough relationships. You also couldn’t help but cheer her on when she stood up to her mom and then when she finally told Carter how she felt about him. Plus I loved all the added things about the weddings, how they ran the business and how much Mac loved taking pictures. I think my favorite thing about this book/series overall is how amazing the characters are even the secondary characters! Great series for any reader, but especially those that love weddings!

Better When He's Bad

Book: Better When He’s Bad (Welcome to the point #1)
Author: Jay Crownover

Summary:There’s a difference between a bad boy and a boy who’s bad . . . meet Shane Baxter.
Sexy, dark, and dangerous, Bax isn’t just from the wrong side of the tracks, he is the wrong side of the tracks. A criminal, a thug, and a brawler, he’s the master of bad choices, until one such choice landed him in prison for five years. Now Bax is out and looking for answers, and he doesn’t care what he has to do or who he has to hurt to get them. But there’s a new player in the game, and she’s much too innocent, much too soft…and standing directly in his way.
Dovie Pryce knows all about living a hard life and the tough choices that come with it. She’s always tried to be good, tried to help others, and tried not to let the darkness pull her down. But the streets are fighting back, things have gone from bad to worse, and the only person who can help her is the scariest, sexiest, most complicated ex-con The Point has ever produced.
Bax terrifies her, awakening feelings she never thought she’d have for a guy like him. But it doesn’t take Dovie long to realize . . . some boys are just better when they’re bad.

Review: Shane “Bax” Baxter is bad, and no where near the typical “bad” boy, but just straight up BAD. I have never read about a character like him and I’m not going to lie I love him and I hate him all at the same time. I mean he is a total asshole yet deep down you know he’s being that way for a reason. I just can’t help but love him and love him with Dovie. I think Dovie is perfect for Bax because unless you grew up like they both did they know how the other works and what makes them tick. This book sucked me and made me feel like I grew up and lived in the point. (I didn’t but I can pretend while reading :)) I also think that Jay did something so different with not making him become the “hero” I mean yes he saved the girl and such but it’s not like he actually changed his behavior because he went on to still run a chop shop and fight in illegal fights. I also love how Dovie rose above it all to go on and help other kids in the streets! This book was just so different from Jay’s other series and it was just an intense read that I couldn’t get over. I literally put it down when I was finished and was sad to see Dovie and Bax go because I just liked it that much!

The Liar

Book: The Liar
Author: Nora Roberts

Summary: Shelby Foxworth lost her husband. Then she lost her illusions…
The man who took her from Tennessee to an exclusive Philadelphia suburb left her in crippling debt. He was an adulterer and a liar, and when Shelby tracks down his safe-deposit box, she finds multiple IDs. The man she loved wasn’t just dead. He never really existed.
Shelby takes her three-year-old daughter and heads south to seek comfort in her hometown, where she meets someone new: Griff Lott, a successful contractor. But her husband had secrets she has yet to discover. Even in this small town, surrounded by loved ones, danger is closer than she knows—and threatens Griff, as well. And an attempted murder is only the beginning...

Review: First off if you have never been reading a Nora Roberts story, then you need to drop what you are doing and go pick up one right now! She is the queen of romance novels and I love all her different genres including this one which definitely falls under a mystery. She creates these amazing stories that suck you in and make you feel like you are there and experiencing everything with the main characters! I also love how she definitely keeps you in suspense and legit I had no clue who the “bad guy” was until the end so that’s how you know it was a good suspense! I also just love the characters in this story. The super strong family that Shelby has - I mean I wish I had a grandma like hers! Also Griff took my heart 100% who doesn’t love a sexy contractor a man who knows what he wants when he see’s it and doesn’t let anything not her financial situation, having a child, a crazy ex and people out to hurt her stop him from getting what he wants. Plus all the sweet/cute/sexy/amazing things he does from getting the puppy, babysitting kids, creating a Shrex room and so much more! I love Nora’s stories and how different each one is and how here writing style is so beautiful but in a real world way!

Soul of a Woman

Book: Soul of a Woman (The Dark Souls #2)
Author: Jamie Begley

Summary: How can you save someone who doesn’t want to be saved?

For Broni, being stranded on Earth was not the worst possible thing that could happen. Given the opportunity to finally meet Rhys Stone, she decides to take what she can get with what time she has left before her enemies find her.

Rhys is forced to live again by a woman who doesn’t understand the word no, and has no shame in offering him anything he wants. She thinks she can make him love again, make him into the man he once was. It was a battle doomed to failure until Fate steps in showing him that if Broni doesn’t survive, no one will…

Review: I cried ugly tears and my heart literally hurt for Broni and Rhys and Jamie Begley hurt me but in a good way. Man this book has so many down’s in the plot line that when the up’s finally came I wasn’t sure the book was ever going to end happy. It was also interesting (Spoiler) when Rhys and the warrior’s souls joined together and became one, it was kind-of confusing and took a while to understand, but by the end I’m glad that it wasn’t just Rhys and that he finally figured out who he is. However I did not like the part of the story where after Rhys and Broni stopped sleeping together he became this huge manwhore. I get why it was in the story, but it broke my heart and in reality if this ever happened to me I could never be with that man again no matter how madly in love I was with him. I also think this was why it was so hard for me to accept the blending of Rhys's soul and the Warrior’s soul.

Soul of A Man

Book: Soul of A Man (The Dark Souls #1)
Author: Jamie Begley

Summary: Cara, a powerful Moirae, finds herself stranded on Earth made human by an enemy of her mother, Fate. Lost and alone, she is forced to accept the reluctant help of Jericho Hawk. Jericho is determined not to become involved with Cara, even as their sexual attraction for each other cannot keep them apart. When Cara's Cousin Grimm appears and proves Cara's crazy stories are actually true, he must overcome the horrors her mother is responsible for to gain an eternity with the woman he has come to love.

Review: I'm a huge fan of Jamie Begley's MC series and I don't know how I missed this series but I'm glad I found it. This book was so interesting and if you like the different Norse and Greek Gods then you would love this story. Cara is the daughter of Fate and gets sent into the human world on Earth by her mother's enemy. She is a character with a lot of strength to go through so many trauma's. Jericho is a troubled soul that is fighting is way through life and you can't help but bleed for him and all he has gone through. This story was super intense and you get sucked into the plot line and the different story lines going on. I love the blending of the different God's and learning about Fate and Destiny and the huge part they play in the world. My only real "complaint" is that if you didn't know about the different Gods and such, then this story would be extremely confusing and for quite a bit of the beginning I was lost and it took some chapters to find my feet on who the different characters were. Other than that great story and fun start to a series.

Until Sage

Book: Until Sage (Until Him #2)
Author: Aurora Rose Reynolds

Summary: Sage Mayson had Kimberly Cullen once, and the memory of that brief encounter has tortured him since the moment he pushed her away. He should have followed his gut, but he didn’t, and now he’s left watching the woman he wants more than anything from afar.

Kimberly vowed to protect her heart from Sage, but when her sister is murdered and her world starts to fall apart, he’s the one person she finds herself leaning on.

Getting a second chance is something Sage knows is rare. He’s not going to squander the one he’s been given, and he won’t take no for an answer when it comes to making Kim his.

But what Sage doesn’t know is Kim has a secret that could leave them both devastated and heartbroken.

Review: I have been waiting and waiting and waiting for this story and I LOVE IT!!!! I love Sage! I love that although he’s not “blood” he is still 100% a Mayson and acts and thinks like a Mayson and although he might not have recognized his BOOM as quickly as the others, once he did realize it he was all in! I love all the little things that Sage does to show Kim how much he loves her and wants this relationship to work. I mean the monopoly money - my heart melted and who would even think of something so cute!!!! Then the way he takes care of Kim after what happens to her sister - this is the meaning of a true man and a deep relationship. I also love how Aurora Rose does an amazing job of making these feel like real relationships and although they have trials and tribulations they work hard to make them work. I love how this story is different from the rest but fits right into a typical Mayson love story. This series of Mayson’s is one of my favorites to read over and over again and one that I would recommend to anyone and everyone! I can’t wait to see what comes next!

Until Ashlyn

Book: Until Ashlyn (Until Her#3)
Author: Aurora Rose Reynolds

Summary: Dillon Keck knew Ashlyn Mayson was drunk when she suggested they get married. He knew he should have taken her back to their hotel room and put her to bed. Instead, he did what he had been craving to do since the moment they met.
Claim her as his.
Waking up married in Vegas isn't something Ashlyn Mayson ever thought would happen to her. Having Dillon, her boss, a man she thinks is a dick, insist they stay married is absurd, but every time he touches her, she gets lost in him and wonders if maybe they are meant to be together.
But someone isn't happy for Dillon and Ashlyn and their new found romance, and they're willing to do anything to keep them apart. Even commit murder.

Review: If there is any couple that was the perfect choice to get married in Vegas its Dillon and Ashlyn! Aurora Rose did a fantastic job on the characters in this story and they are SPECTACULAR. First off I've been waiting for their story since reading Jax's story and the wait was more than worth the wait. I mean this story had me crying tears of sadness, laughing hysterically, rooting for Dillon, wishing I was Ashlyn! The story is just ON FIRE! Ashlyn by far is the crazyiest of her family and her humor was on point! If there are real men like Dillon out there can someone please send one my way! I don't know how Aurora does it and comes up with these crazy plot lines that work so well, as well as juggles so many side characters and they are all still amazing in their own right! I hope she also writes a prequel about Dillon's brother and wife's story because it sounds amazing too! I think every Man and Woman needs to read this series!

Rescuing Emily

Book: Rescuing Emily (Delta Force Heroes #2)
Author: Susan Stoker

Summary:Renting out the apartment over his garage shouldn’t be a life-changing decision, but when Delta soldier Cormac “Fletch” Fletcher meets Emily Grant, he feels an instant connection. He can’t stand the thought of Emily and her young daughter living anywhere unsafe. Offering cheap rent is a small price to pay for their safety…and Fletch’s peace of mind.

Being a single mother is difficult at best, but renting the extremely affordable space from Fletch makes Emily’s life a lot easier…until it doesn’t. Suddenly all the money she’s saving thanks to Fletch’s generosity is going into the hands of a blackmailer. And what little food Emily can afford goes to her daughter Annie, so the girl doesn’t go to bed hungry…leaving Emily weaker and weaker.

When miscommunication has Emily assuming Fletch is in on the blackmail, he not only has to gain her trust, but also deal with a man holding a grudge against Fletch and his entire Delta Force team. A task made more difficult when the dangerous man gets his hands on Emily and Annie..

Review:  This book was the perfect balance of intense but also super cute and fun. I definitely think that Annie was so fun and cute and added some great spots of humor that made this book amazing. Plus the drama of finding out who is blackmailing Emily and why and then when Fletch finally figures out what is going on - I thought there was going to be fireworks shooting out of the book! Then the ending (I won’t give it away) but it was so amazing and was perfect! I just loved the drama of the story, plus the characters - I would love to meet this Rowdy group of delta soldiers! Susan Stoker has quickly become a favorite author and she does an amazing job on military books! Great Read!

Until June

Book: Until June (Until Her #2)
Author: Aurora Rose Reynolds

Evan knows deep in his gut that June is too good for him, but after getting a taste of the beautiful life they can have together, he’s unwilling to let her go. June promises to wait for him, knowing neither time or distance will ever change her feelings for Evan—that is until she’s served with divorce papers while he’s overseas and she’s forced to let him go.
Her marriage and divorce a well-kept secret, the last person June expects to run into when she moves back to her hometown is Evan. How can she fight the need to soothe him even if she knows she’s liable to get hurt once again?
Is it possible for June and Evan to find their way back to each other again? Or will they be stopped by an outside force before they ever have a shot?

Review: When I first read the summary of this story I wasn't sure I was going to like it, I'm just not a huge fan of second chance stories. (don't ask me why I do not know) However I should have known better because Aurora Rose is just that amazing and makes each story spectacular! I cried over this story so much, I just love Evan and June and their different heartbreaks and why they acted the way that they did. Evan is a new breed of Alpha man that we haven't yet seen from this series yet and I just love love love him. I also love how he has know decided to fight for June and is ready to get back what he lost. It was so fun to see the development of their story throughout the book and how their love grew more and more. I also love June's character and how she stuck by her convictions and didn't just give into Evan straight away. I think Aurora Rose just does an amazing job of writing these stories and allowing each one to be different then the rest while still having the same underline message. 1. The Boom is real 2. Alpha man are spectacular 3. The sex scenes (INTENSE) 4. Mystery/Drama 5. Funny conversations with the whole Mayson family - I just love this series and honestly hope it never ends!

Book: Maverick (Carter Brothers #5)
Author: Lisa Helen Gray

I'm the eldest of five brothers.
Brothers I fought to protect.
Brothers I failed.

They don't know the truth. I've kept secrets. Told them lies.

And now everything I've worked so hard to keep hidden is about to explode and everyone I wanted to protect will be caught in the crossfire.

Meeting him was fate.

Him being a part of my past was a coincidence.

Falling for him was my destiny.

What happens after... THAT is a disaster.

Not intended for readers under the age of 18 due to sexual content and strong language. Contains strong subject matters that some may find unsettling.

Review: I’m not gonna lie I waited a long time for this book, because from day 1 or from Malik’s story I have loved Maverick. This story was amazing and learning more about Maverick and his past made me cry, and it makes him so much more amazing that he has come so far. I also love love love Teagan and her daughter and I think Lisa Helen does a great job at making these amazing characters so relatable and real and makes you wish that you knew them in real life. I love this series so much and it definitely makes me sad that this is the end (so hear me Lisa Helen and write about the kids!! :)) This was a great ending to an amazing series and I thought there was just enough drama to keep you interested and into the story. I would also reccomend this story and this whole stories to anyone and everyone who loves a good romance.

Until Jax

Book: Until Jax (Until Him #1)
Author: Aurora Rose Reynolds

Summary: Ellie Anthony isn’t looking for love. She isn’t even looking for a man, but when Jax Mayson insists on keeping her and her daughter safe, she’s left with no choice but to trust him. Now she just hopes she doesn’t get hurt when she falls hard for a guy who’s known for breaking hearts.

Jax Mayson knows that Ellie is his BOOM the moment he sees her. When he finds out she has a daughter, he realizes he wants a family, and he will do whatever is necessary to keep both of his girls safe, even if that means facing the demons from his past.

Review: Aurora Rose Reynolds has the Alpha man writing down to a T and writes about the exact kind of man that I would love to have. Jax is a man who knows what he wants and when he meets his #Boom he dives right in and doesn’t even hesitate when he learns he lives in a different state or has a daughter. He also helps her however he can but still listens to her even when he might not like what she has to say. I love these stories and series because Aurora Rose does an amazing job of hitting all the details of the story. The plot is on point, suspenseful with not overly becoming a mystery, the characters and their personalization are amazing and they don’t repeat themselves from each book. This is a series and book that I find myself coming back to again and again and each time it gets better and better. I also love the introduction of new characters that gives you a little hint of what is to come (as in the new relationships she will write about) so it keeps you waiting for the next story in the series. *Great PR stunt* :) Also finally the sex scenes in this story - OMG I needed a fire extinguisher to put myself out! :)

Rescuing Rayne

Book: Rescuing Rayne (Delta Force Heroes #1)
Author: Susan Stoker

Summary:  As a flight attendant, Rayne Jackson is used to cancellations, but she never dreamed her latest would lead to a whirlwind tour of London with a handsome stranger…or a life-altering night in his bed. One evening is all the enigmatic man can give her, and Rayne greedily takes it, despite suspecting it will never be enough.

Heading home after another extreme mission, Keane "Ghost" Bryson hadn't planned to seduce someone during his layover, but Rayne is too sweet to resist. Being a Delta Force member means lying to protect his identity, which is unfortunate, considering Rayne seems made for Ghost, right down to the tattoo on her back. For the first time in his life, regret fills him as he slips away the following morning.

Both are shocked when, months later, they meet again—under the worst possible circumstances. Seems fate has given them a second chance…if they can survive the terrorist situation they're in. If Rayne can forgive Ghost his lies. And if Ghost can trust Rayne to be strong enough to endure the secrets and uncertainty that come with loving a Delta Force soldier.

Review: Before I dive into my review about this story can I just say that after reading this book, my first of Susan Stoker stories I ended up buying the rest in her other series that is how spectacular I thought this story was. Rayne is my kind of woman, she’s spunky fun but also cautious and reserved when need to be. She knows a good man when she see’s him and throws her normal “behavior” to the side and allows herself to be different with Ghost. I love how the 24 hours they spent together completely changes both of them and makes them change their everyday behavior. I also love how incredibly tough and strong headed Rayne is during her time in Egypt, more power to her and I hope that others who in real life have to go through these awful events are as firm and strong as Rayne is. Side note: I also have to just say that all the men and women who in real life fight for the Delta Force are my heroes. That said where do I find myself a Ghost (or for that matter any of his teammates)! I love this story I love how Ghost and Rayne fight so hard to be together and that is what makes it such a great story. I’m not one to pick on grammar, punctuation blah blah blah because when I am reading a story I’m not looking at those things, but rather at the storyline and relationship in the story. I love how Ghost and Rayne fight to be together and end up making it work in a beautiful way.

I Don't Dance

Book: I Don’t Dance (Freebirds #6)
Author: Lani Lynn Vale

Summary: Blaine fell in love with Elliot before she ever knew he was in the military but knowing this changes nothing for her and she goes on to marry him. Each christmas that past is different than the rest and although the time apart was hard the time together on Elliot’s darkest christmas might be the hardest. Will he be able to come out of his funk or will Blaine have to do something dramatic to get his attention.

Review: I was so excited that Lani wrote Blaine's book because I have loved her in all the other stories so it's so fun to see how her love story played out. My only complaint really is that some of the “Facts” don’t line up with what was told in other stories, but this does not take away from the overall amazingness of the story and how much I love Blaine and Elliott. This story shows also the rawness of what soldier’s and their loved ones have to go through and that it's not easy but worth it and when they work together to come on the other side it makes it so much more beautiful! I pray for every man and woman who has been affected by war and by being in the military and hope that each of them finds peace with themselves and with their loved ones. Lani Lynn just does an amazing job of writing each story and makes you feel like you are actually a part of the story.

Texas Tornado

Book: Texas Tornado (Freebirds #5)
Author: Lani Lynn Vale

Summary: Shiloh’s whole life has been turned upside down, plopped down in a city with a new half-brother who does not seem to like her she has to find her way and a place for her. James is struggling to not freak out on his ex who keeps placing fake calls on him and his relationship with his daughter, he’s not looking for a relationship. Even though neither of them were looking for a relationship or for each other they somehow try to make it work even with all the strife against them. The only questions is if they really do make it work.

Review: I love this story and I love James and Shiloh and the insane struggles they had to go through. My only complaint is how Sam and Cheyenne  play out in this story. I mean honestly it kind of made me super not like them even though I love them in their love story or the first book, so it was hard to take in what jerks they were in this story. However even this did not take away from how amazing this story is and how much I love James and Shiloh’s relationship as well as the deep connection with Jamie.  I just love all these stories and Lani literally pulls me in every single time and even though I have read these stories before every time I get pulled in again and again. The story also does such a great job of balancing drama, suspense and funny banter to play together in a spectacular way. This is definitely a series that I would recommend to anyone and everyone and know that they would love it just as much as I do.

Last Day of my life

Book: Last Day of My Life (Freebirds #4)
Author: Lani Lynn Vale

Summary: She doesn’t remember her name, where she comes from or anything in her past, but when she see’s him again things start to come back. Jackopia thought he had lost everything, but when he hears a woman's voice scream his name he recognizes that he hasn’t lost her. They have to work though to figure out who was trying to keep them apart and had hurt Winter to make her forget her past.

Review: *Warning* Be prepared to cry ugly tears!!! This book is amazing and by fair my favorite in the series (which was hard to pick because they are all amazing) I love Jack and I love love love Winter. I mean you can’t help but root for them and hope that their love story has a happy ending. I just love how deep the love they have for each other is and although Winter can’t remember at first when she does start to remember it's beautiful. I just love the whole story and I can’t but hope that I found a love that beautiful and deep that survives years, war, death and so much more. Lani Lynn Vale does an amazing job of writing amazing stories that are funny, deep, suspenseful and beautiful and each of them makes you fall in love with them.

Another ones bites the dust

Book: Another One Bites the Dust (Freebirds #3)
Author: Lani Lynn Vale

Summary: Payton has gone through so much and is battling to live a normal life, and although she wants Max she is scared of what a relationship with him could mean. Max has also battled much in his life and has a hard time looking beyond the first glimpse of Payton into the person she really is and by the time he does they are caught up in a whirlwind of chaos. They must battle through false arrests, a stalker and much more.

Review: I love Payton and I love Max, so them getting together is perfect. I love that this story has tons of funny and crazy parts (Payton puking while in between Sam and Cheyenne, (spoiler) their crazy wedding) but it also has some scary and heart wrenching incidents too! You also learn more about the pasts of Payton and Max and it's so heartbreaking to read about what happened to them and so you can’t help but root for Payton when she gets Alpha! I love learning more about Freebirds and all they do for women! I also super appreciate who much Lani Lynn Vale writes and how quickly and that they are all super amazing and different! I love these stories and love the different and hilarious personalities in the stories that makes you want to read the story over and over again.
