Guardian Angel

Book: Guardian Angel (Crown's Spies Book 2)
Author: Julie Garwood

Summary: The Marquess of Cainewood is hunting, hunting for a pirate that killed his younger brother. While hunting for this pirate he comes into contact with Jade a woman looking for protection from a murderer. However in reality Jade has come to keep Caine safe and keep an eye on his investigation of Pagan the pirate. Through the tale dead people come back to life, the mystery pirate is found and two  people fall in love.

Review: Jade is amazing and I want to be like her and totally kick butt! Caine is pretty amazing too and you can't help but feel for him trying to find his brothers killer and get revenge. What really makes this book though is all the secondary characters who add so much humor to the storyline and make it even better than it already is.

5 out of 5 stars.

The Lion's Lady

Book: The Lion's Lady (Crown's Spies Book 1)
Author: Julie Garwood

Christina Bennett is new in the English season and everyone is wondering who she is and where she came from. This includes the reclusive Lyon, the marquis of Lyonwood. He is intrigued with the "princess" and wants to learn about her past. The two come together to solve not just one mystery but two and try to capture a murder.

Christina is such a quirky character and is hilarious and its funny to read about her interactions with other characters. Lyon is great too and the two of them fighting is hysterical. Having them fight so hard to not be with each other and then when they do fall in love they fall fast and hard. There are a few curveballs in the story like any other story but its a great read.

5 out of 5 stars!

The Wedding

Book: The Wedding (Lairds' Fiancées Book 2)
Author: Julie Garwood

Summary: Brenna is on her way to marry a man her father has picked out for her. However fate plays its hand and the man she asked to marry her when she was a little girl kidnaps her to wed her himself. Connor MacAlister has other motives than just marriage to grab her.

Now the two must set home to fight a ward with an angry laird and to figure out who the betrayer is and somehow muddle through a relationship with each other.

Review: This book has so much emotion in it and Julie Garwood does an amazing job of sucking the reader into the scenes. I literally cried while reading this book because the characters emotions were so great. I also loved how it seemed to be the perfect mix of drama between the characters and with the outside forces.

I give this book 4.5 stars out of 5

The Bride

Title: The Bride (Lairds' Finances #1)
Author: Julie Garwood

On the command of the king Laird Alec Kincaid must take a wife, an English wife. He is to choose from a group of sisters and pick the one that he wants. Based on what he has heard he chooses Jamie even though she has a "mans name". However life is not wedded bliss from this moment the two have to deal with difficult in-laws, a murderer, a missing child, multiple wars and each others unavoidable tempers. Through all these trials and tribulations the two do grow closer and get to know each other and develop deep feelings for each other.

Review: I liked this book, the two characters have so many battles that they have to fight through but the end is so amazing it more than makes up for the fights they had. It's fun to see two characters (even if fake) come together in the end even when they have such personality clashes. I enjoyed this book and even though its not my favorite book by the author this is still better than most books written about this time period.

4 out of 5 stars.

Book: Ransom (Highlands' Lairds # 2)
Author: Julie Garwood

This second story in the series involves Bordick Buchanan who is now a Laird. He is summoned by an English woman named Gillian who claims to be his wife. She has been severely abused and is hiding many secrets that include a lost child, a hidden treasure and the killer to the Kings mistress. Brodick and Gillian go through many ups and downs, injuries, fights and arguments to solve the mysteries.

I LOVE JULIE GARWOOD. If you like history, a good love story or just need to laugh then this book is for you! This book captivates you right from the start and sucks you in with a plot line that is constantly moving and characters who are funny, witty and highly entertaining. The dynamic between Brodick and Gillian seems so real that you can almost picture it in your mind and many times their interactions with each other will have you literally laughing out loud. This was such a fun book and as much as I liked the first I have to say that I love this one even more!

Definitely deserves 5 out of 5 stars.
